Emma Wang is a Chinese American theatrical producer, television & radio host and personality, and creative entrepreneur with production studios in New York City, London, Shenzhen and Shanghai.She is a Special Research Fellow at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University, focusing on cross-cultural collaboration and global storytelling. A proud graduate of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), Emma combines creative artistry with strong business leadership to connect East and West through performing arts.

As China’s first nationally recognized female talk show host, Emma rose to prominence Through herself-titled YAYAShow on Shenzhen Satellite TV,earning millions of fans and receiving both the National Entertainment Program Competition Award and the Guangdong Provincial Government Award for Excellence in Broadcasting. Her media work also includes numerous programs on Shenzhen Music Radio Feiyang 971 and major national TV networks.

Global Expansion

Her producing credits include:
• Hua Mulan — Emma’s first Broadway-bound musical, currently in development.
• The Little Match Girl — presented at Signature Theatre, New York, and Off- 
Broadwayvenues including Theatre Row, St. Luke’s Theatre, and Riverside Church.
• New Off-Broadway musicals After Pinocchio, Heidi, and Phoenix Rising.
• International productions including The Legend of the Paper Dragon, Qingping, 
Adventure in the Pear Orchard, The Battle of the Traditional Festivals, Fantastic Protector,HereThere, Annie, Here/There, Alice in Wonderland. 

In London, Emma founded Emma Wang Productions Ltd., dedicated to developing cross-cultural theatrical works that blend Eastern and Western aesthetics. Current productions include Anne of Green Gables — a West End adaptation in development; Nezha — a large-scale original musical inspired by Chinese mythology;

In 2025, Emma launched The Emma Show, a bilingual (New York–based) talk show and podcast dedicated to arts, culture, and women’s voices. As its creator and host, she interviews Broadway artists, producers, and international cultural figures in both Chinese and English, building a cross- cultural dialogue between East and West. Distributed on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and China’s Xiaoyuzhou FM, the show has quickly become a bridge linking creative communities across continents and an extension of Emma’s mission to unite the world through storytelling and the arts.

Education & Philanthropy
Emma is the founding director of a premier children’s theatre school in Shenzhen, which regularly hosts resident teaching artists from Broadway and the West End. In 2023, she founded the Asian Performing Arts Alliance (APAA) — an international organization uniting Asian performers worldwide. APAA frequently collaborates with UNICEF to support global child welfare and humanitarian causes through the arts.
